Small Luxury Hotels of the World Launches WeChat Mini Program

Small Luxury Hotels of the World has launched a WeChat Mini Program, built and supported by Dragon Trail. It brings 700+ independent luxury hotels together on China’s most-used app to make boutique properties easily discoverable and boost direct bookings.

The new WeChat Mini Program from Small Luxury Hotels of the World empowers Chinese travelers to discover and book more than 700 boutique hotels around the world

On 21 September 2026, Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) launched its new WeChat Mini Program, built and supported by Dragon Trail International. The Mini Program brings SLH’s global collection of more than 700 independent luxury hotels in 100 countries together on China’s most-used app to make boutique properties more easily discoverable by Chinese travelers, boost direct bookings, and deliver unique benefits to WeChat users.

Users can find hotels listed by country or through an interactive map – as well as searching by name or theme

Available with no additional download to WeChat users, the SLH Mini Program allows travelers to search hotels throughout China and worldwide by name, destination, or on an interactive map. There are also helpful filters to find hotels with Michelin stars, in historic buildings, by the sea, with spas, family-friendly accommodation, or other specific features.

Themed categories allow users to filter by features such as architectural style, spa facilities, fine dining, family friendliness and more

The Mini Program includes special offers, including discounted suite rates, signature three-course dining offers, and a “stay longer for less” promotion for bookings of three or four nights. Users will find a convenient booking process, and easily view their upcoming reservations and booking history.

SLH officially launched the Mini Program through its official WeChat account on 21 September, with a pre-launch at its China Community Event in Shanghai on 18 September, attended by 19 member hotels from throughout China. The Mini Program is being promoted through SLH’s official online channels in China, as well as offline at member hotels throughout the country.

SLH’s Mini Program was soft launched at a China Community Event in Shanghai on 18 September 2026, with representatives from 19 member hotels – alongside Dragon Trail team members

Through 5 January 2027, SLH is promoting the Mini Program with a competition for the first 10 users to book and complete a hotel stay through the Mini Program to win a free night’s hotel stay.

SLH also has plans to further enhance the appeal of its Mini Program through collaborations with member hotels to promote curated packages especially created for Chinese guests using the WeChat Mini Program. Starting with properties in China, this cooperative approach also has potential for SLH member hotels internationally to promote themselves through the SLH WeChat Mini Program.

Dragon Trail built the technology for SLH’s Mini Program and is providing ongoing operational support and updates. Future developments will include AI-enabled discovery and optimization, and a member zone for users registered for the SLH Club.

Dragon Trail is proud to work with Small Luxury Hotels of the World in China, managing its social media presence across WeChat, Weibo, and RedNote, and supporting the development of the new WeChat Mini Program. Please contact us to discuss how we can help Chinese travelers to discover your brand.
